Golden harvest food bank
- Golden Harvest is hosting no-contact Mobile Market food distributions throughout our community. Upcoming distributions:

Master's Table Soup Kitchen
Visit the Master’s Table Soup Kitchen for a hot meal served daily Monday – Saturday at 11 a.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. The Master’s Table is located at 702 Fenwick Street, Augusta, GA 30901.

The Salvation Army
A hot evening meal is available 365 days a year to anyone in the community. Dinner is served at The Center of Hope (1384 Greene St. Augusta, GA 30901) from 5:30 to 6:00pm Monday-Sunday.
USDA National Hunger Clearninghouse & Hotline
The clearinghouse aides low-income individuals or communities by providing food assistance and other nutrition and social services information, serving as an important tool in combating hunger and promoting economic mobility. The clearinghouse is accessible two ways:
- By Phone: Call the USDA National Hunger Hotline, which operates from 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM Eastern Time. If you need food assistance, call 1-866-3-HUNGRY or 1-877-8-HAMBRE to speak with a representative who will find food resources such as meal sites, food banks, and other social services available near your location.
- By Text: Text “97779” to the automated service with a question that may contain a keyword such as “food”, “summer”, “meals”, etc. to receive an automated response to resources located near an address and/or zip code.

Rent & Bill Pay Assistance
The Lydia Project
The Lydia Project provides free services to women and girls anywhere facing any type of cancer. This support includes ongoing correspondence and encouragement every month for at least twelve months.
Locally, Lydia grants funds for rent, utility, medical supplies, and prescription assistance to women who are unable to afford these basic expenses while undergoing cancer treatment and who reside in Georgia's Burke, Columbia, McDuffie and Richmond Counties; and South Carolina's Aiken and Edgefield Counties.

The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) is a federally-funded program that helps low-income households with their energy bills. LIHEAP can help you stay warm in the winter and cool in the summer. By doing so, you can reduce risk of health and safety problems (such as illness, fire or eviction).
*Note: The availability of the LIHEAP assistance is not guaranteed. Often most of the Federal LIHEAP funds are spent during the winter.

United Way of the CSRA's 2-1-1 helpline is a FREE information and referral service. United Way 2-1-1 provides information and referral services for Basic Human Needs Resources, including food banks, clothing closets, shelters, rent assistance and utility assistance.
If you need help finding assistance or available resources in the CSRA, or want to give help, dial 2-1-1 from any phone or you may dial 706-826-1495. Your call is completely confidential and free. You may also visit www.211csra.org to use our online database.

Action Ministries provides Rapid Rehousing and Permanent Supportive Housing Programs.
If you are need of rapid rehousing, please consider the following qualifications: (1) must be an individual, family or unaccompanied youth in need; (2) at imminent risk of becoming homeless or who is currently homeless; (3) between the ages of 18-24.

SafeHomes is much more than just a shelter. In fact, some clients never even come into shelter, yet we are able to help them in other ways. We offer highly-specialized and comprehensive services to assist victims of domestic violence regardless of where they are on their journey.

The Salvation Army runs an emotional and spiritual care hotline during times of crisis. If you need someone to talk to, call 844-458-HOPE (4673) 9am-9pm EDT – 7 days a week.
The Salvation Army (Emergency Shelter)
The Salvation Army offers shelter, food, spiritual and physical care for people in need. To be housed the first night, each prospective resident at The Center of Hope must have a picture ID. After the first night, individuals who want to stay additional nights will need to get a shelter clearance from the Richmond County Sheriff’s office located at 400 Walton Way. Although clients are allowed eight free nights of stay, case management is available for extended stays based on progress to stability. The goal of case management is to go from being homeless to being stably housed.

The SAGE hotline is intended for older LGBTQ individuals. Connect with a friendly responder that is ready to listen. Call 877-360-LGBT(5428) for assistance.
Friendship Line (Institute on Aging)
The Institute on Aging’s 24-hour toll-free Friendship Line is the only accredited crisis line in the country for people aged 60 years and older, and adults living with disabilities.
